Few people know, but Max Verstappen is not only involved in Formula 1, the driver has his own racing team, which has now signed a contract with Aston Martin.
This is quite interesting in light of the known rumors in F1 and can be considered a pretty strong approximation, that Verstappen.com Racing will compete in the GT World Challenge Endurance series with the British manufacturer's race car and with its direct support.
The Aston Martin Vantage GT3 will be driven by the trio of Harry King, Thierry Vermeulen, Chris Lulham. The latter will have a particularly interesting challenge, as the youngster comes from the world of simulators, and this will be the first race car he will face in reality. The Verstappen team has long helped young drivers develop their skills, but this will be the first time they have offered an opportunity to an athlete who came from a virtual environment:
"I have always dreamed of one day helping young drivers, and for some time now I have been working to create this opportunity for a simulator driver. Together with Chris Lulham, whom we know well from the Team Redline simulator team, as well as Thierry Vermeulen and Harry King, we are taking on an exciting new challenge. We will be working with a professional team in a championship that is a serious challenge. We still have a lot of work to do to get the best results from our cars and drivers, but our goal is clear: to fight at the top of the standings. An exciting year awaits us!" - said Max Verstappen, who cannot be ruled out that he will one day join the team.
We say after a successful period in F1 with an Aston Martin...
