From Friday to Saturday morning, the US Grand Prix continued with sprint qualifying, where Max Verstappen proved to be the fastest.
During the 12 minutes of SQ1, we could observe a continuous race without stops, during which the drivers constantly changed in the lead. Max Verstappen, Kevin Magnussen, Lewis Hamilton, etc. succeeded each other in the lead. In the end, Charles Leclerc won this stage, overtaking the already mentioned Hamilton and Verstappen, while among those eliminated, to everyone's surprise, were Oscar Piastri, Esteban Ocon, Alexander Albon and, as usual, the two Alfa Romeos.
In SQ2, the game didn't change much: Ferrari finished in first place again, this time Carlos Sainz was the fastest, followed by Verstappen and Hamilton. Among those eliminated, two names were worth mentioning, Sergio Perez and Liam Lawson. While the former burns his image in front of a car capable of winning a world championship with a lamentable performance, the latter, after many absences, manages to maintain this level even in a VISA RB... The two Aston Martins and Pierre Gasly also left the competition.
In SQ3, it looked for a long time that George Russell might be the winner, and the only threat might be his teammate Hamilton or one of the Ferraris. In the end, that wasn't the case, Max Verstappen found some extra time somewhere and won the sprint time trial ahead of George Russell and Charles Leclerc!
