Lando Norris dominated the sprint race at the Qatar Grand Prix on Saturday afternoon, but on the final lap he ceded victory to his teammate, Oscar Piastri.
The two McLarens had an excellent start, and Lando Norris immediately left the peloton. In the back regions, it was interesting to observe the difficulties of Max Verstappen, the new world champion, who was unable to pass Pierre Gasly even on lap four. He only managed to do so on lap eight, which is not something usual for him... While we are talking about Red Bull Racing, it is also worth mentioning the "performance" of Sergio Perez, who was unable to pass Franco Collapinto, who started from the pits (instead, the Argentine did it immediately) and was in 19th place. Here it should be noted that it is becoming increasingly difficult to believe that someone can be so uncompetitive as a Formula 1 driver and still be a member of the Red Bull team... Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc climbed to fifth place after a spectacular battle with Lewis Hamilton, so we could see a podium made up of McLaren, Mercedes, Ferrari. In the end, this did not change, except that on the last lap Lando Norris ceded the victory to Oscar Piastri, and George Russell managed to climb onto the podium.
