The Qatar Grand Prix program continued with sprint qualifying, where not much news emerged: Lando Norris took pole in sprint qualifying!
In SQ1, after the first timed laps, Lando Norris and George Russell, then the Scuderia Ferrari duo Charles Leclerc, alternated at the top. After the last fast laps of the stage, Norris' superiority remained, so he finished in first position, while those eliminated - in the case of the first name, we can say without hesitation that it was no surprise - included Sergio Perez, Yuki Tsunoda, Esteban Ocon, Guanyu Zhou and Franco Colapinto.
After the first attempts in SQ2, the previous trend remained, that is, McLaren was strongly in form. The difference was that now it was Oscar Piastri who was leading, slightly ahead of Leclerc and Norris. In the end, this dominant role continued, only George Russell managed to intervene, thus forming the trio of Norris, Russell, Piastri. Liam Lawson, Fernando Alonso, Alexander Albon, Valtteri Bottas and Lance Stroll, however, did not have continuity, they were able to start preparing for the main program on Saturday.
In SQ3, there weren't many unanswered questions left: Lando Norris and McLaren completed this stage of the weekend quickly, and easily took pole ahead of George Russell and Oscar Piastri.
