Based on the Bahrain test, it was clear that Charles Leclerc was better than Lewis Hamilton in all aspects of the game. Dr. Helmut Marko believes that while Hamilton is capable of big, quick improvements from nothing, if that doesn't happen then it's over for him...
Ralf Schumacher, who works as a pundit for Sky Sport F1 in Germany, doesn't understand the hysteria surrounding Hamilton. Given the test result, he is particularly confused about what is happening in the public space:
"You can't expect great things from him. With Hamilton, even the most optimistic estimates show that he is three or four tenths short, but it is true that, at this moment, it is not a tragedy. Maybe he needs to get used to the car, to his new situation, something like that... What is happening now is equivalent to an earthquake, everyone sees him as a messiah. He is a seven-time world champion, who obviously changed teams because he wants to fight for the world title again. Theoretically, he will be able to do it, but I am completely sure that it will not happen in his first year. I think those who expect that from him are living in a dream world. In the meantime, if Charles Leclerc is going to be consistently better than him and stay that way, then it is obvious that for Lewis Hamilton it is over, he has passed his peak. And we all know that at Scuderia Ferrari they are not very patient with drivers who do not perform... So, in the end, Ferrari could be the team that will bury his career "To Lewis. However, this could also be true the other way around, if Lewis Hamilton were to face Charles Leclerc. But I see little chance of that." - Ralf Schumacher mused.
