Ralf Schumacher is certain that Max Verstappen will not compete for Red Bull Racing next year, and he holds this opinion even if he is sued for it.
The reason isn't even Red Bull's weakness this year, we have to dig much deeper to understand what the German is saying:
"It is completely obvious that Max Verstappen will only stay at Red Bull temporarily. It is not because of the weakness of the car, but because of the new engine project that has derailed the relationship between the driver and the team. And of course, the power struggles... But Mercedes, as well as Aston Martin, which collaborates with Honda, could be a familiar track for Max. There he knows what to expect. In the meantime, other difficulties will arise at Red Bull, for example, with the engine electronics, with the gradual erosion of the team. The tension between Christian Horner and Helmut Marko is constant, and this does not lead to anything good, anyone can see that. Max Verstappen hates this and runs away from it. That is, even if Horner sues me for my opinion.
"Currently, Toto Wolff is after him, because he has already managed to remove Verstappen, and that turned out to be a huge mistake. But Max will not go to Mercedes, but to Aston Martin. Either Fernando Alonso or Lance Stroll will have to leave to make room for him, but the Greens will manage that."
