George Russell says the 2025 season could have a bad ending because Lando Norris' team has an advantage the likes of which the sport has never seen before.
The Briton says that even then it wasn't such a big advantage, when Max Verstappen won almost all the races of the season...
"The current McLaren is clearly capable of winning every race. They have a strong pair, I think they could do it, but life will intervene somehow... Anyway, I've never seen such a big advantage, they are stronger than Red Bull Racing ever was. Then you knew that if Max is in that car, you basically have no chance of beating him on your own. The season is long, I hope there will be times when things don't line up for them, and we have to take advantage of those opportunities.
Unfortunately, it is clear that they are doing something much better than the rest of the participants, and the difference becomes even more obvious when the tires start to warm up. They have hit something extraordinary there, they are able to achieve a huge difference. Of course, we will continue to evolve, but overall I do not think we will be able to challenge them on our own.” - George Russell painted a bleak future.
