Norris admits defeat and the fact that in 2024 Max Verstappen was better than him, but at the same time he sees the lesson in the missed opportunity:
"Being second, losing the victory is always a painful thing, but - it may sound strange - I'm already happy to be preparing for 2025, knowing that I'm capable of fighting. I know myself, my virtues and my limits, no one knows better than me what I need to develop in. There are areas where I'm strong, there are others where I'm not so good, I'm open to criticism and I'm open to developing where necessary.
Last year my qualifying performance wasn't the best, but this year I was almost twice as good and I got a lot of poles. This year I didn't have that advantage that would allow me to beat Max Verstappen, who I could have fought with. However, I clearly had the feeling that he is also human, and if I improve my technique here and there, then I can say with certainty that I have the power to beat him.
"I feel like I've been close to that in the last few races, where I've had some strong results. Hopefully 2025 will be a year where I'll be in contention for the world title from the very first race!" said Norris.
