McLaren has sent an unusually strong message, this time to its own drivers. Andrea Stella has stressed that any driver who does not support the team's interests will not have a long life within the team!
Stella did not hold back, the team leader does not want to see any more traces of the disputes that, last year, made McLaren's tactics difficult several times:
"With us there is no first and second, both drivers receive the same opportunities, we start this year with the same principles as last year. We are proud of our performance last year and the behavior of our drivers, their positive collaboration. We have learned a lot from 2024, and this includes the human factor. We were competitive, we will be competitive, we cannot make mistakes, and for this we still need close collaboration. We have learned all the lessons from last year, everyone will have the chance to demonstrate. However, it is important to emphasize that if someone does not believe in the principles of McLaren, then they are not the right person, nor the right driver for the team, we will part ways with them." - was the rather harsh message from Stella.
