Sergio Perez had a very poor weekend. The Red Bull driver struggled from the moment he started on the grid, and the misery that followed was even more miserable. The highlight was when he crashed into Liam Lawson and destroyed his car. The Red Bull Racing team principal didn't let this go unnoticed either.
"Formula 1 is a results-based business. If someone doesn't perform here, first they are warned, then they are fired. We work as a team, we fight as a team and we need both cars, both drivers to do that. That's the nature of Formula 1. I have always given Perez everything and supported him, which will be the case next weekend in Brazil. But soon the time will come when we will have to think about how to proceed and make a painful decision.
"We are now third in the constructors' championship and we want to fight for victory again. There are four races left and it will not be an easy task," Horner said in a firm tone about Perez.
