Lewis Hamilton is starting to really get a feel for what it means to be a Scuderia Ferrari driver. From the start, everyone has been rooting for the seven-time world champion, but these days, even the Tifosi are letting him down more and more...
Where is the pre-season excitement, the honeymoons, the carefree photos? As for Ferrari, the phrase "suffering, decline, then next year" is increasingly heard. Hamilton is not surprised by all this, he prepared for it:
"I'm not surprised by what's happening now. In some ways, I expected this, after all, we're talking about one of the most prestigious teams in F1 history. It's normal to be more in the spotlight, to be written about, filmed, thought about, everyone has an opinion. It's not easy, knowledge doesn't come overnight, we have to give ourselves time. We're developing, we're moving, we're trying to gather that passion and energy that has always been characteristic of Ferrari and that can propel us forward. At the team, everyone is putting their heart and soul into this project, we're riding this roller coaster together, and I have no doubt that, in the end, we'll reach our goal." - Lewis Hamilton summed up what he's waiting for and how he feels.
