Lewis Hamilton has made it clear that he did not come to Maranello to retire, but quite the opposite: He wants to be the man with whom Scuderia Ferrari will win the world title for the first time since 2007.
If anyone has experience in turning a team that has seen better days into a champion, it's the Brit. He wants to capitalize on this experience, and if he succeeds, he won't retire. Quite the opposite!
"A world title with Scuderia Ferrari for me would not be the eighth, but rather the first. Yes, I want to win a world title with Ferrari, for Ferrari, that's what I'm working on now. At the moment, I don't think at all about the fact that it could be the eighth, which would break all records, but rather about a first title, so I'm pursuing this dream. Although the team has won many titles before, for some time they haven't managed to do this, I feel it's my mission to help them get there. I'm here and I'll be here to win, all my thoughts are focused on how I can be as useful as possible to achieve the goal. If I succeed and win another world title, I certainly won't retire. I can't imagine stopping..." - said Lewis Hamilton.
Are you putting on your seatbelt, is the ninth coming?
