Bahrain Grand Prix: Piastrı won and is already in second place in the points standings

Grand Prix-ul Bahrain: Piastri a câștigat și este deja pe locul doi în clasamentul punctelor

The Bahrain Grand Prix brought no surprises, Oscar Piastri achieved a clear victory from start to finish in a not very close race.

Piastri had an excellent start and held on to his lead without any problems. But George Russell started stronger, moving up to second place, not to mention Lando Norris, who immediately jumped onto the podium with an even stronger start. It wasn't just the front-runners who shone, but the ones behind them also had a blast: Pierre Gasly held on to fifth place without any problems, while Carlos Sainz quickly rose to sixth.

But the Spaniard could not enjoy himself for long, as Kimi Antonelli caught up with him, followed by Max Verstappen who overtook him. Shortly after, Lewis Hamilton did the same, with whom the Williams driver had a spectacular fight, but eventually gave up. Meanwhile, the other Red Bull car was constantly closing in on Yuki Tsunoda, and after passing the tenth lap, the pit stops began. We saw different tactics, and Scuderia Ferrari and Alex Albon were the ones who delayed changing wheels. After the reorganization, we saw the order of Piastri-Russell-Norris again, but what was much more interesting was the situation of Haas and Esteban Ocon: the Frenchman started from the back of the pack and drove steadily in sixth place.

We were already well over halfway through the race when Charles Leclerc picked up the pace, overtook Norris and took over third place from him. Meanwhile, Verstappen was suffering very visibly, having one of his worst races in recent years. On lap 32 came the turning point: Yuki Tsunoda and Carlos Sainz were involved in a serious battle, the two cars touched, causing a pile-up of debris on the track. The safety car appeared, and with it the whole strategy that we had seen up until then was ruined. Piastri made an excellent restart, and after a heated battle, everything remained unchanged, continuing to lead the Bahrain Grand Prix the Piastri-Russell-Leclerc trio.

We cannot deny that we will not remember this race as the best of the decade, except for the battles in the middle of the pack, there was very little worth noting. The last laps were colored by the agile attacks of Norris, the Briton managed, after many attempts, to take third place from Leclerc and was stopped here. The Bahrain Grand Prix was thus won by Oscar Piastri, ahead of George Russell and his teammate, who thus climbed to second place in the individual points standings.
