Sergio Perez's place at Red Bull Racing is in danger, which is no longer news. Names that could replace him appear daily, and now Christian Fittipaldi has brought an interesting proposal to the table.
Former Formula 1 driver Fittipaldi believes it is very possible that Oscar Piastri, who is feeling tired in the role of second driver at Red Bull, will leave McLaren at the end of the season and continue his career in Perez's place starting in 2025:
"Although it seems strange to think about it, I don't think it's impossible for Oscar Piastri to leave McLaren at the end of the year and move to Red Bull to replace Perez. By then, perhaps Piastri will feel a little tired of supporting Lando Norris as co-driver and decide to make an impulsive change," reflected Fittipaldi.
It may sound crazy, but there are several options in this regard. One of them is that Piastri could join the best car on the grid and compare himself with the best driver in the championship. Red Bull would thus gain an excellent driver, while seriously weakening their main rival, the McLaren team. It is a provocative proposition!
