It seems that Formula 1 could take inspiration from the Brad Pitt film for an interesting innovation.
Anyone who has been to any motorsport event will have noticed that teams push their cars back into the pits from both scrutineering and the parc fermé by hand. The same applies to pit stop practices, which in F1 usually take place on Thursday media day. Here, the mechanics are divided into two groups, with one team pushing the car to simulate a stop, while the other changes the wheels and nose of the car. In the film made by Brad Pitt, these scenes were filmed with a specially built replica car with electric assistance. Pitt has now spoken about how the teams envied the idea that came from them and are now thinking about installing an additional battery that would be equipped solely and exclusively for these pit stop practices. This would reduce human resources and, thanks to the higher arrival speed, the simulation would be even more realistic.
An interesting idea, which could write twice in the history of Formula 1 film crew / PITTstop :) /?
