Although we still have to wait a little longer until the 2025 season opens, the serious work is already in full swing, and soon we will hear the first starts of the new cars, the filming days will begin, then the tests... And hop-hop, we already have the opening of the Australian Grand Prix championship here!
And immediately a significant change, because with this F1 returns to its roots and established traditions, because for a long time it would have been unthinkable that the season would not start in Melbourne. Fortunately, traditions have won, so on March 16 the 76th season of Formula 1 will begin at Albert Park, where, like last year, this year there will be 24 races, including six sprint weekends. The first of these will take place immediately on the second race weekend of the year, in Shanghai, then Miami, Spa Francorchamps, Austin, Sao Paulo and Losail, where there will already be emotions on Friday.
In Europe, the peloton will arrive in mid-May, with Imola being the first race when the Formula 1 world championship sets foot on the old continent. A significant change that affects us Hungarians is that the Hungarian Grand Prix has regained its role as the last race before the summer break, arriving between 3 and 5 August at the partially renovated Hungaroring circuit. The venue and end date of the season remain fixed, with F1 ending the competitive year in December in Abu Dhabi.
