The pair at the bottom of the standings are leaving together, their place being taken by the previously announced/rumored duo of Nico Hülkenberg - Gabriel Bortoleto.
Guanyu Zhou's performance has been almost zero lately, the Chinese driver lacking any of the qualities that are typical of F1 drivers in general. Valtteri Bottas's light has long since faded, and the Finn may have been a little affected, so the decision made by Stake's management is completely understandable.
"Based on our frank and open discussions with Guanyu Zhou and Valtteri Bottas, we have come to the conclusion that our collaboration can no longer continue, its terms cannot be met, so we have decided to part ways. However, we would like to emphasize that we are grateful to both of them for what they have done for the team over the past three years. They are true professionals who manage success and defeat with their heads held high, who, through their experience and enthusiasm, have greatly supported the team to become stronger and more competitive." - the team's statement reads.
So, two Formula 1 careers have quietly ended, as we don't see much chance of these names ever returning to the starting grid.
