Bahrain, final day: Russell in the lead

Bahrain, ziua finală: Russell în frunte

Tóth Krisztián Márk |

The F1 team has had some interesting and meaningful days, and it is very difficult to draw any rational conclusions from the tests in Bahrain.

The closing day brought another element of interest, especially in terms of weather, as this time the conditions were much milder and warmer for the teams. There were also other events, as Lance Stroll missed the first few hours due to feeling unwell, a glass panel collapsed on the starting line, and then a bus that entered the track caused a bizarre red flag phase... The fastest lap of the morning was achieved by Charles Leclerc, with Andrea Kimi Antonelli in second place, and Lando Norris also managed to sneak onto the imaginary podium.

In the afternoon, the focus was on longer stages, however Max Verstappen took the lead and stayed in the lead until the last ten minutes of the test. Then came George Russell, who finally managed to improve on this time, but, strangely, the best time of the three days was not this, but the result achieved by Carlos Sainz in yesterday's session. Different mixtures, different tactics, hiding performance, these are the only certainties, along with the progress of McLaren and the advance of Williams. The rest is impossible to predict.
