Honda Racing Corporation CEO believes Adrian Newey's involvement with Aston Martin means they will build the best car in the field together. Koji Watanabe believes that with Newey's arrival, they will repeat and even surpass Red Bull Racing's successes, which would mean they are the best team in the world.
“It’s really inspiring to see that Aston Martin is constantly working to move forward as a team. It’s really nice to see so much investment in infrastructure and people, like building a modern wind tunnel and headquarters, or hiring Adrian Newey. I know Adrian, we’ve worked together before, and his incredible passion drives him to build fast cars. While they’re working on the body, we’ll be focusing on the engine, there’s definitely going to be some friction, but we have to prepare for that. But if we can overcome these obstacles and work them out, then we’ll build the best car in the world. And if that happens, then we’ll be the best team in the world!”
