They didn't wait for Wednesday's collective tests, they already unveiled their new car last night, which they will bring to the circuit in Bahrain tomorrow, during a day of filming.
The team chose to make an online presentation, in which the graphics of the AMR25 were published. According to Fernando Alonso, this model differs by 95% from last year's car. The side boxes, the front wing, which presents a significant development, have been modified. Their aim is to achieve a better pace in slow corners than ever before. Also, the cooling system, the engine fairing and the whole image have been improved from the perspective of the efficiency of the aerodynamic package.
All of these changes were made to improve the car's handling, to avoid the difficulties encountered last year, when Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll suffered greatly. With the innovations listed above, Aston Martin could be more competitive on circuits with technical characteristics, which were a weak point last year.
"With this year's car, we've used all the lessons and feedback from last season. Our aim was to provide a much easier car to drive for Lance and Fernando, we've worked hard to keep it under control and make it more accessible," said Andy Cowell, the leader of the green team.
