Fernando Alonso feels that his entire career has been accompanied by injustice, according to which he always sat in weaker cars than his opponents.
A Spanish television station made a documentary with Alonso, in which the two-time world champion talked about how he had always been at a technical disadvantage. From a young age, from childhood...
"I remember when I started driving karts as a kid, I always only had one set of tires. In Asturias, it rained a lot, and the other kids would put on rain tires, but I didn't, because I didn't have the money for it."
That hasn't changed in Formula 1 either. Here I get rain tires, but for example, I don't get the Ferrari wing or the McLaren baseplate. Ultimately, that's what my whole life, my whole career has been about: having to fight with less effective weapons and adapt better than everyone else... That hasn't changed, nor has my desire for success.
"If I go out on a karting track now and see that the best are a second or half a second faster than me, then I'm as angry, as frustrated as when I can't have dinner in the evening. I hate losing, that's what keeps me alive!" - mused the Aston Martin star.
