As expected, a real frenzy has surrounded Lewis Hamilton's first appearance at Maranello - although the seven-time world champion has not yet climbed into the car. This will happen on Wednesday, but the fans are not interested in that, they are already on site, there is not a spare room in the area.
Of course, Scuderia Ferrari reported on the big event, based on which we can get a detailed look at the newcomer's schedule:
"Lewis arrived at our headquarters in Maranello in the morning, where he was given a tour. From there, his path led to the Fiorano track, where he visited the home of Enzo Ferrari and met Frederic Vasseur and Benedetto Vigna in the square named after another seven-time world champion, Michael Schumacher. This is also where the first regular photos were taken, with his favorite Ferrari model, the F40.
They then visited Enzo Ferrari's home, including the famous office from which the founder supervised his team. Hamilton then returned to HQ, where he met with management and spent the rest of the day carrying out a comprehensive and in-depth programme with Pietro Ferrari.
"He visited the various departments, got acquainted with the team, and the sit-down test took place. The work will continue tomorrow with technical briefings, which will begin the actual preparation for the challenging season that awaits us," said Ferrari's press department.
